![]() ![]() Your Fiery will print the C/M/Y/K test page, you will scan the color bars and click 'apply', that's it. ![]() Calibrating the Fiery will return the colors to their normal balance (assuming that your machine is working properly) and takes only about 5 minutes: just open the Command Work Station program, connect the spectrometer to USB port, connect to your server, click on 'calibrate' and follow the prompts. Usually copiers/printers should be calibrated every 1-3 weeks depending on the volume of printing: as the drums and developers get older, the color deviates and you could be getting a cyan, magenta or yellow hues on the prints. All versions of Command Workstation which were using ES-1000 (it is used to calibrate the controllers) support ES-2000. ES-2000 can also be used to calibrate plotters/commercial inkjets/offset printers as long as the print controller/rip and the calibration software is compatible with it. This unit is an essential piece of equipment for any print shop and almost mandatory if you are using any Fiery or Colorpass print controllers regardless of the brand of the machines that they are attached to: Konica Minolta, OCE, Canon, Ricoh, HP, Xerox, Toshiba etc. Here are the links to EFI: $1,348 for ES-2000 only and $3,400 for ES-2000+CPS 4.6 You can download the CPS 4.6 for free from EFI: Windows: Or Mac: and run it in 'demo' mode, once a licensed spectrometer (such as this one) is connected to USB port, the CPS becomes fully functional. The serial number is 7013678, it includes a license to use it with Color Profiler Suite 4.x (see the screen shot of EFI activation page): retail price on the software+ES-1000 is $3,400! License for CPS 4.6 was first activated on March 6, 2015, so you will get the 1 year support from EFI. ES-2000 is fully backward compatible with any software that works with ES-1000, it just has a better color accuracy and a couple of other options. Keep in mind that CPS 4.6 software with license alone is $2,400 and it will work only with the licensed spectrometer (such is this one)! Just the Color Profiler Suite 4.6 license is worth way more than the listing price and you will also get the spectrometer! This unit is new, never been used, lamp burning time is less than 3 seconds, which was used to test it with i1 SW: see the end of the description for a log file from i1 test software and the pictures of the screen shots. This spectrometer does have a few very small scratches on the top, but those are purely cosmetic. EFI ES-2000 spectrometer/spectrophotometer hardware revision 'E' with Color Profiler Suite 4.6 license. ![]()
